Arrow's disc set purportedly comes with a new 4K scan to really get into the details of director David Cronenberg's trademark body gloop. With a twitchy performance from a livewire James Woods, stomach turning effects (quite lterally) and a still relevant message, Videodrome is packaged with a great transfer, decent sound and a set of extras in Dolby Vision.

With the film part of Cronenberg's astonishing 80's run which started with Scanners and ended with Dead Ringers taking in The Dead Zone and The Fly along the way, you have to ask if there's a better run of films in the horror genre by any director?
