Vigor On Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2818260/Vigor/
So there's a lot to unpack in this first impressions review of Early Access Vigor on PC, perhaps most importantly whether it's worth buying and paying to play what will be a free-to-play game on full release.
I take the viewpoint and argue that if you like DayZ, you'll like Vigor, and if you like the look of the gameplay, and how the gameplay loop is designed, then it's worth paying for the Reinforcements Pack to play in Early Access, because the practice you get with high-tier weapons and gear will be invaluable in the long term.
Also, when Vigor on PC goes to free-to-play, all progress will be wiped and you will be re-issued with all the items from the Reinforcement Pack, so you'll have an advantage there too.
I take a look at the console shop to give you an idea of how much items will cost on release, and explain that you don't have to buy anything and can just grind the game to find weapons, resources & consumables.
I've had a lot of fun with Vigor so far, I like the "base that can't be raided" idea, and the looting and scavenging in the encounters.
Thanks, Rob.
