The "Perfect Launch" doesn't deliver the best results for every car in the game, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, that's why I always try both ways to be sure I get the best time with the car. Also, with some cars I have to do an early shift for the first gear, the game doesn't let you to do a Perfect one, it just jumps from early shift to over rev.
