At this point, your horses are in danger. A thief will pop out of nowhere, then open the gate for the other enemies to slay them, or he can do it himself with a rapier. Also this thief is given a body ring so Pandan can watch you hesitate whether to steal it while he gets to see more animals get hurt in the process.
