I've said many times that I have a soft spot for idiosyncratic hits, and that's true enough for Little Talks even for as many, many flaws as it has. So it's incredibly disappointing to see OMAM retreat into becoming just another verb-laden indie rock group. In fact, I think this song in particular might be trying to have it both ways; the alt-chorus near the end has Nanna singing she doesn't mind having a ghost in her bed to which Ragnar says "stop, you're doing this again". Which I kind of interpret as the male voice beckoning the lead vocalist to once again stop chasing after old shadows and move on with life, which was probably what Little Talks was about...I mean, probably. Whatever, whether or not it is a self-reference, the song literally has nothing else to offer.
