Good replacement lid
I was asked by Amazon to review this lid. So...lets get to it.
It is round and fits into the space occupied by the top of my Vitamix container, which is definitely a plus.
The lid and plug are made of sturdy materials. I tested this by trying to force my hand past the lid and plug while the Vitamix blades were spinning (half-speed only...I'm not an idiot). After several attempts, I was unable to successfully get my fingers past the cap and lid.
The cap and lid also confirm to all known laws of physics (structure of matter, density, molecular cohesion, etc.)...also a plus. (I once bought a knock-off lid from an unknown dealer...somebody named Schrodinger if I remember right. What sucked is the fact that Schrodingers Vitamix lid existed in multiple quantum states. This is not the kind of Vitamix lid you want when you are making soup).
