Viveport Infinity | Review | The Netflix Of Virtual Reality
All games shown in the video are part of the subscription and certainly ones I would recommend for you to check out
Viveport Infinity is a subscription service that gives access to over 600+ games and apps for your virtual reality headset, it supports both the HTC headsets and the Oculus rift. My overall thoughts on it are very positive, its a great service that offers an amazing value. Its not perfect though, the launcher has to be my least favorite of the big three and there are a lot of low quality titles included as well but thankfully it still provides enough amazing quality titles that it makes its asking price worth it. Its quite easy to spend 100 dollars on about 4 to 5 VR titles which is already enough to justify that 99 dollars a year subscription.
I own well over 100+ VR titles across steam and the oculus store so I was a bit skeptical of how the subscription could benefit me but I found a lot of value in it with games or experiences i always wanted to try but could never justify the cost of purchasing them out right. As an example Richies Plank Experience is something I always wanted to try out but knew I would only play it once or twice so I decided to skip out on it, but since its a part of Viveport Infinity that was no longer an issue, in fact I found myself getting the chance to try out tons of experiences that I always heard lots about but never bought such as The Blu, The Great C, Everest VR and more.
Overall the service is one I plan to keep using, as a user it offers enough good and amazing games, apps, and experiences for me to see value in it. With that said I would recommend you checking out the list of games included to see if its worth it for you. Having to use another launcher is annoying but frankly speaking it works and I ran into no issues using it and most of my time was spent actually playing the games anyways. Im a little surprised there isn't more talk about the service itself as it really does provide a large library to choose from. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting a library of VR titles to play without having to spend a massive amount upfront or to those of you just getting a headset for the first time.
