VLOG: Magic Tricks - Fire!

Having a Tiny Human in the house is usually QUITE entertaining, and their excitement about the "unknown" makes magic tricks SO MUCH fun! Chantel has learned a new magic trick...try and figure out just how she's accomplishing this! So far, the boys and Aria are still clueless...it's awesome! Speaking of toddler excitement...even mundane tasks, like taking the car through the car wash can be fun! It's times like this that I wonder if I'd miss so much more of what's going on, literally right around me, if I wasn't blessed to have the chance to see the world through a child's eyes on a daily basis! After weeks and weeks of "boiling heat" in the 90's without an air conditioner, we welcome the rain and the windy weather with open arms! I have been on a "clean up and organize my life" spree around the house, moving from one room to the next. The things that I have tackled makes it look like a completely different place! I am super excited to show you all what I have done in the Master Bedroom! It's FINALLY a space that I can be proud of, and one that I will actually get to enjoy for once! When we were going across the mountain pass we got a very close up look at an active forest fire in progress! It's not often you're able to actually catch footage of a fire like this, so I "rubber-necked" a bit so I could show you all how things can be here in Oregon during the summer time. This particular patch of forest has been burned before and we refer to it as the "Dead Woods," and sadly it just took a bunch of steps back, as it was JUST starting to really turn green again! Thankfully, when we can back over the pass a few hours later they had basically contained and put out all the flames. It's not often that I buy my fur babies new goodies, but Diamond was in desperate need of a new collar and she's been scratching the side of my couch, so I thought I'd get her a scratching post while I was at it. We're all stocking up and preparing for the Great American Solar Eclipse that is happening in just a few more days. Grocery stores are running out of food and gas stations are being run dry...it's a good thing that I did my shopping early. Prices for hotels or camping spots is ridiculous, and it makes me THAT much more happy that I live here, where we're supposed to have a nearly perfect view of the full eclipse, barring any smoke lingering from all the forest fires.
