Dilip Kumar is legendary Indian film actor known as Tragedy King, and described as "the ultimate method actor" by the great director Mr. Satyajit Ray. He debuted as an actor in the film Jwar Bhata in 1944 produced by Bombay Talkies. He was born in Peshawar on December 11, 1922. He is married to Ms. Saira Banu who was also a very popular Yesteryear actress. Deelip Kumar won the Filmfare award for the Best actor, Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Padma Bhushan, Nishan-e-Imtiaz, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, Special Lifetime Achievement Award, Apsara Award for Best Contribution to Indian Cinema, IIFA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema.
