i was invited by inside to playtest this level, and to say i was immediately hooked would be a bit of an understatement. the prospect of something this deceivable is great, seeing that the gameplay is not very difficult at all for what the level looks like.

thematically, this level is what i'd expect from a rather edgier level for the holidays. although the addition of random default text kinda removes from the experience, i appreciate the diversity between sections, considering the rather limiting color palettes. the inclusion of fakes throughout the level might make the experience more difficult for players, but inside was kind enough to offer indications throughout that dictate where you need to click.

for me, the highlight of this project boils down to its gameplay. seeing as this level wasn't intended to be a demon, you'd expect a level of this caliber to be rather readable. while this is mostly the case thanks to the aforementioned indicators, the sheer amount of gimmicks presented give me a whole new appreciation for the level. in this sense, one part that stands out comparitively would be the first ship, which displays extreme shifts in the icons position while offering little player input to pass, a section i think best shows off this level's deceptive nature.
