Volatile Vintage PnP board game overview and solo play through
7Today I've been playing a preview copy of “Volatile Vintage”. This is a PnP flip and write (you flip cards from a standard deck of playing cards) for 1-8 players. This game is an engine builder where you have to build up vineyards in competition with others to produce the most wine barrels, all the while fighting off mob attacks, investing in your workforce, and signing accords with local villages. In this video, I overview the main game elements and then play through a full solo game.
This is a preview copy pre-Kickstarter so some elements may change. Game provided by the game designers for this video.
NB. I solved the "mystery" of the missing card. I actually had an extra promo card in the deck and it happened to be removed with the 4 at the beginning (i.e. only 3 valid cards were removed). Thus I had an extra turn this game. I still lost!
