What is the volume of a cylinder that has a height of 12 and whose base has a diameter of 12?A. 432πB. 432C. 144πD. 144E. 1728π

The Correct Answer

If you answered A. 432π, then you're correct. If not, you can either go back now and try to solve it on your own or continue reading to find out how to find the correct answer.First, you need to remember the basic formula for finding volume is the area of the base times the height. In this case, the base is a circle, so replace the area with the formula, which is pi times the radius squared.Next, you were given the height (12) and the diameter (12). Cut the diameter in half to get the radius (six) then square it (36). Take 36 and multiply it by the height (12) to get 432 times pi. You can multiply that out or leave it.
