So with the new that hit us earlier this week, I felt I couldn't just do nothing. In many ways the ripple effects started by Kazuki Takahashi when he wrote and drew Yu-Gi-Oh! has affected my life in so many ways and I am grateful for the things he has given me. A love for board and card games of all kinds.
But his influence doesn't stop at Yu-Gi-Oh! itself.
An entire genre of youtube videos spawned out from Littlekuribo's parody of Kazuki's original work.
The shows and the games that was inspired by Yu-Gi-Oh! down the line, like Millennium Blades, Duel Masters or Cardfight! Vanguard. He left an impact on this world. So I guess I'm revisiting his characters in this absolute classic of a game, because... Because I kinda wanna say goodbye to one of the greatest mangaka's who ever lived. May he rest in peace.
