VR TERRAIN FIX - Nuka World DLC Modding Tutorial for Fallout 4 VR
Hello, everyone! If you enjoy my content, help me make more! PayPal.Me/cainstevenjones
Okay, here it is! I am so glad to have this fixed! We now have a way to fix that DLC terrain glitch in Fallout 4 VR!!!
Special thanks to The Red Turtlez for telling me where to find this mod, and RDTG for making it!!! https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28850
The process is relatively simple:
1. Download the 4 Main Files:
a. Downtown
b. Interiors
c. Nuka World
d. Far Harbor
2. Download the 3 Update Files
a. Commonwealth DLC Compatability Patch
b. VR Optimization Fix - Far Harbor ESP Update
c. VR Optimization Fix - Nuka-World ESP Update
3. Download your preferred INI settings
- I chose "My Rift Settings"
4. Unpack all files (Except the Settings INI) and drop them in your Data folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 VR
5. Use LOOT to sort your mods.
6. Open your Plugins.txt:
C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Fallout4VR
7. Make sure every mod has an asterisk* in front of it.
8. Move all the RDTG mods to the bottom of the list in
the following order:
*RDTG_BaseDowntownVROptimization.esp
*RDTG_InteriorsVROptimization.esp
*RDTG_NukaWorldVROptimization.esp
*RDTG_FarHarborVROptimization.esp
9. Unzip the setting INI of your choice and replace the files in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 VR folder. Your should back up your originals just in case.
10. TEST IT OUT!
Well, that's it for now.
Next time, we're exploring the best INI settings for VR. Right off the bat, I can tell you that the TAA needs to be changed to FXAA. That one thing stopped a lot of judder in my build. But we can do better! Leave your preferred INI settings below, and I'll read and try every last one of them!
