This TAS is done in 5604 frames and has 1171 re-records.
This run is done on the 2.2 PC version of the game, on the 2016-10-20 build (see https://vsix.dev/wiki/Version_history_of_VVVVVV#2.2 for more details). More specifically on Linux, with the Make & Play version that has a small hexedit to (almost) skip the fake loading screen, but it would work with the Steam version too, and also with an unedited binary; it also works with the 2.0 Linux version. However, given that the zip glitch is (1) Undefined Behavior and (2) relies on the exact implementation of libc malloc bookkeeping, this run is not guaranteed to sync on any build of the game on any other operating system; in particular, the zip glitch behaves differently on Windows and macOS, and thus desyncs this run.
This run is done on Dimension Open 1.1.3, which is the latest version of Dimension Open.
This is an improvement of 23 seconds and 52 milliseconds from my previous Any% TAS of this level, which was in 3m35s588ms (https://youtu.be/GmC3D4N7MLA). The biggest improvement was accessing the teleporter using a wrong load instead of having to travel to a checkpoint and back and wait through a cutscene. Other improvements include holding down right for 2 frames at the start of the level, use of the Alt+Enter glitch to position Viridian better during cutscenes, and general movement optimizations overall in the TAS.
