Azrael's Tear is a 1996 PC DOS game by Intelligent Games. It's incredibly hard and very detailed, it even has several different endings!
The year is 2012. You play a Raptor, a thief, who has come to explore a recently unearthed cavern in Scotland rumored to contain the Holy Grail.
I used to play this game some thirteen years ago, but I was never able to finish it. I thought it deserved a full playthrough. :P
It's a great game, despite the fact that it's not widely known, which is partly due to the system requirements (as you can see, it doesn't even run smoothly in DOSBox at 100% cycle speed) and it being released in the same week as Quake.
