A very unique machine that might be the only surviving one left today, it is publicly available for play at Pixel Paradise Arcade in Angus, ON, Canada. Released by Namco in 2001 it predates the Maximum Tune series and follows the story line of the original Wangan Midnight manga. This export version is translated into English and has a different styled logo as well.

More details about the machine: each player is powered by a Namco System 246 "Driving" revision, which currently is true about the left side while the right side had to be replaced with a revision A board taken from a Vampire Night (if you have a spare Driving or revision A main board for sale please let us know) - revision B and C boards will not work as they lack the additional RAM slot required by the game. Force feedback is disabled on both players as the left side did not work when we first got the machine and the right side is simply too violent for our arcade's general public (I'm not sure if this is intentional behavior). The original steering wheels were rubberized with the generic Midway middle cap, they have been replaced with hard plastic Namco branded wheels for better durability.
