A very unique machine that might be the only surviving one left today, it is publicly available for play at Pixel Paradise Arcade in Angus, ON, Canada. Released by Namco in 2001 it predates the Maximum Tune series and follows the story line of the original Wangan Midnight manga. This export version is translated into English and has a different styled logo as well.

I admittedly suck at Wangan, although I will blame a bit of my skill issue on the lack of force feedback (still trying to figure out the issues with it). On the fourth race against the R200CLUB duo the game becomes much more aggressive with its difficulty, forcing the player to keep their car's bumper behind the second car at all times - I had failed to prevent him taking me over and I kept being blocked until it was too late. The game is also currently set to Easy (B) difficulty, I cannot imagine how tough it must be on Very Hard (E).
