Following on from the A6M3 Mod 22, the A6M5 is a return to form for the Reisen, echoing and expanding upon the strengths and weaknesses of the A6M2. With the tightest turn circle in its class at a BR of 4.7, and exceptional handling qualities up to a speed of 450km/h, this plane is nasty if given the chance to goad its opponent into a 1 vs. 1.

However, if faced by an opponent who decides to exploits its slower climb rate and lower top speeds by comparison with its contemporaries; or by a group who decide to engage it in a 1 vs. many dogfight, even the best of Zero pilots will find difficulty in coming out on top.
