The BF 109 F-4 has been classed by many as an over-powered plane for its tier (tier 7). The very fast climb rate, good manuveurability in a high speed dive and great vertical dogfight ability mean that this plane is suited to the Boom and Zoom style of play. Additionally, the presence of a single 20mm MG 151 Cannon whose belt can be filled with HEI Meinengeschoss rounds (Air Target Ammunition Belt), along with the twin 7.92mm machine guns - all in a central prop mount - allows this plane to unleash large amounts of damage in a short period of time.

In this gameplay on the Airfield Domination map of Pelileu, I show what the F-4 can do. By picking my targets carefully, and prioritising the enemy bombers, this plane can very quickly earn multiple kills in a single game.
