In a nutshell: fekking amazing!

I cannot overstate how much fun War Thunder is in VR. It really shows off the level of detail and attention paid to the cockpits (some of them anyway). The ability to fly around, relying just on your instrument panels adds a level of immersion that really takes the game up a notch in my opinions.

So here are the pros and cons, because I didn't have the energy to talk about them in the video. Again, apologies for my shitty voice :P

Pros:
- MUCH IMMERSION
- Easier to aim/get guns on target once you've gotten used to it
- Easier 'dot' spotting as all dots render in regardless of distance
- Combat feels much more exciting when you're 'in' the cockpit
- VR brings depth perception, allowing for easier low altitude bombing runs and easier collision avoidance
- High speed dives are exhilarating providing you don't get motion sick

Cons:
- Loss of resolution, however it is easy to adjust to
- Looking behind you requires you to become an owl
- 'Dot' spotting is easier, however target identification is harder due to reduced resolution
- Potential for motion sickness in tight combat (looking at you biplanes!!)
- You'll need to dial down some graphics settings to get good FPS, even on a monster GPU due to optimization issues etc

In my PERSONAL opinion, I'm never going back from VR. However results may vary. Some people get motion sick very easily so VR may be a very hard, if not impossible, transition.

Let me know in the comments if you have tried/got VR and what its been like for you?
