So took Chroma for a spin against the Infested in a Invasion Defense Mission. Came in pretty handy but when people say he is a support frame primarily they are correct. He won't put out huge numbers and his ult isn't a press 4 to kill everything.

His Spectral Scream is really underwhelming looks cool but doesn't do enough damage and leaves you only able to roll and move slowly until you exit it.

Elemental Ward is fairly interesting since your element will determine its effect. With fire on it it increases allied Health, and creates a flame aura deals damage to nearby enemies.

Vex Armor is probably one of his best actually. When shields are damaged, Chroma's armor grows stronger, when health is damaged, weapon damage output increases. Active for a limited duration, the strength of this ability corresponds to rank. Rather versatile allowing for defense but also that weapon damage boost is quite hilarious.

Effigy is his ultimate. It's pretty damn cool but drains your energy when it's in use. Chroma turns his pelt into a massive sentry that strengthens nearby allies and engulfs enemies in elemental attacks. I believe it has also been confirmed to have a chance at bonus credits. It'll go away when you choose to put it back on, if it runs out of health or if you run out of energy. Without the pelt on you lose armor but move faster so keep that in mind as well.

I was using the Fire Element here thinking it might be best for this situation but of course this was a rather simple mission but I was leveling.

Oh and lastly, the Ripkas while they are fun might not be worth everything you give up to build them honestly. I like em but I swear the hitbox on claw type weapons just feels off sometimes. Maybe a stance mod would help with that though.
