Warframe: Trinity Link + Castanas Guide Followup Testing
50I got a lot of comments on the build guide that seemed a bit off so I thought I'd test out link a bit more, and give some examples of why abating link is so good, and when high range builds are useful.
*Just realized I forgot to include a small trick in this.
If you're facing Alloy Armor enemies specifically you can tweak your power strength to get around 220-222% power strength with Abating Link. This will give you 98-99% armor reduction.
If you then use the radiation damage build, you'll gain the 75% bonus damage radiation does vs Alloy Armor while enemies will gain effectively no damage reduction up to extremely high levels (they need more than 10k armor for it to matter much).
I wouldn't recommend this in very many situations because you can usually just kill everything anyway by stripping 100% of armor and using electric (which has no penalty or a bonus vs all health + shields), and few missions have only armor types that will make this worth while.
However during the Index for example, afaik all enemies have only Alloy armor, making this very effective.
