Malum Caedo power armor was slick with gore. He looked down at his boot it was covered with brain matter. His reflections on the last encounter with Chaos Sorcerer were only brief flashes. There had been the weight of demon on his back. Digging its claws into his sides desperately trying to pull him away from his prey. Pitiful sounds stirred Caedo back to the present. What was left of the shattered servo skull wasn't much. It's left side had been severely charred while several new small holes smoked from its temple. Carefully the giant bent down to retrieve it.

Memoires of the encounter surfaced again. Hideousness gurgling laugher from a pale white unhelmet face. Words lost among the tide of battle. His gauntlet slick with his own blood. Pressing hard over his lower abdomen. The words of a traitor matter little. Caedo chain sword now clogged with gore unable to properly function. Its hunger finally satiated.

"Click" the sound brought Malum Caedo back to the present as the he unconsciously bound the skull to his belt. He was checking over his weaponry. Or more precisely what was left of it. The Chain sword had been lost while the heavy bolter had gone dry ages ago. As for the meltagun? He vaguely remember ramming it the belly of daemon. Firing over and over again until it was no more. Everything had been used up or lost save for the boltgun he was now reloading.

Rearming it brought back the the last flash of the fight. He felt the full weight of the demon pulling, its claws cutting deep in his sides. Laughter cut short as thunder roared from the boltgun. He shot his elbow back awkwardly freeing himself from that cursed thing. Turned slightly and fired into it. More gurgling laugher from the sorcerer now on his knees with the last of life spilling out of him. With a sharp kick the astartes sent him sprawling on his back. Then with all of his might Malum Caedo brought down his foot upon the sorcerer unprotected head. For good measure he raised his bolter one last time and fired twice.

It was over for now yet there was no time for rest.
