Wario Land 4 (Hard Mode) Playthrough Part 1 (The Hall of Hieroglyphs and Emerald Passage!)
30Haven't touched this game in a decade, so I feel like it's only right to come back to it after such a long time! As my old Playthrough of this game was on Normal, we'll be doing Hard Mode this time. In this mode, Jewel Pieces are in different spots and there's more hazards to deal with. For those of you who have played Wario Land before, but never 4, I think the Hard Mode is a good place to start. Anyways, like my original Playthrough, I'll be going for every CD and treasure. I don't care for the Gold Crowns as Karaoke Mode can be unlocked with a cheat anyway. Nearly all of the bonus pipes will be shown off as well! There's two exceptions (one in The Big Board because I didn't have blocks activated to reach the pipe at the end of the level and one in Domino Row because I hit the switch before entering the pipe and didn't have enough time, so I'm very sorry about that).
In this video, we complete the Hall of Hieroglyphs, defeat Spoiled Rotten, then fully complete the Emerald Passage! The levels here include Palm Tree Paradise, Wildflower Fields, Mystic Lake, and Monsoon Jungle. The boss here is Cractus, who surprisingly might be the toughest boss in the game if you don't use his exploit! I used the Black Dragon on him because I thought I'd need to use items to get good times for the treasures, but... nah. This is the only time I'll be using an item on any of the bosses in this Playthrough.
