It is a common misconception to use beauty schools as replacements for serious at home care that should be done by family, health care professionals, or caregivers. Using a salon every 3 or so months to wash one's scalp is severely unhealthy.

Not only that, but the attitude towards students isn't fair to them. They are there learning to be licensed for their careers, they are not there for you to pay the school to force to do whatever you please. I'm glad my school protected the students and stepped in finally when the trend was obvious.
