[Warrior] The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall [33] | Grinding Till Guardian | Fighter's Guild, Koegria
Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game built for MS DOS. This is our Warrior playthrough where we focus primarily on the Knightly Order of Knights of the Rose and the Fighters' Guild.
After having received our promotion to the highest echelon within the Knights of the Rose and having accomplished a position from which we can effectively spy on the inner workings of the politics of Wayrest, we decided to move to Koegria and cut off all ties from the region. We will be returning there to answer a summons from Princess Elysana, but short of that, we won't be helping them out anymore.
Meanwhile, we head over to the Fighters' Guild in search of a quick buck and to gain more repute as a fighter. We are currently a Warder in the Fighters' Guild and we plan on doing quests for them until they are forced to recognise our potential as a Guardian.
On our journey for recognition, we took on three quests from the Fighters' Guild.
The First quest, 'Hunt for Giant Rodents' involved us going into a house in Koegria named The Masterham Residence that is infested with Giant Bats. Our job is menial. Eliminate them all. We took this an an opportunity for us to improve our hand-to-hand skills and practically beat all the giant bats to death.
The second quest, 'Unwanted Houseguest' involved an unfortunate incident wherein a Sabertooth tiger found its way inside 'The Superior General Store' in Vancastle Garden because of the owner's carelessness. Our job is to go and eliminate the creature for them for our standard pay.
The third and final quest, 'Hunt for a Deadroth' takes to The Haunt of Balthenon, a dungeon full of vampires and vampire ancients in the province of Koegria where a Daedroth has been hiding for some time. Since it is a time sensitive matter, we need to attend to it within ten days unless the Daedroth manages to escape. We finally got a standard dungeon crawl, but most of the enemies in the dungeon were pretty difficult to deal with and drained us of most of our resources. We also had to proceed cautiously in mostly familiar terrain. We ultimately did find the Daedroth lurking behind a hidden door. I suppose he was trying to stay safe as well. Unfortuntely for him, his kind does not belong on Nirn.
And after all that, we finally received a promotion to Guardian.
Here's how the entire journey to get to Guardian went:
