Here's the Gauntlet-mode of Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate completed in under 50 minutes. The timing starts from starting a new game on a fresh save, ends when closing the last message before credits.

The first step in the run is getting a single character to lv. 100. Originally I used Hanzo Hattori for this since he has the fastest running speed, but Zhao Yun is overall better since he is a monster at taking out large groups. Being able to defeat enemies faster speeds up the grind considerably.

The secret to using Zhao Yun effectively is using his air special repeatedly with jump cancelling. This movement is fast, mobile, hits a large area and also doesn't cost too much musou overall.

Purple portals are essential for getting fast level-ups, so in the early game it's a matter of RNG to find this type of portals near large crowds of enemies. I had really good luck in this run, finding 5 portals in the first 3 stages, although two of the portals didn't have a lot of enemies close by.

As soon as you have a lv. 100 character, you can use the promotion and upgrade stone glitches to give any other character maximum speed and potentially other stats too, which speeds up the rest of Gauntlet-mode considerably.

In this run I used Sun Wukong to speed through the rest of tier 1 levels quick since I found him early on and he has a naturally high speed, not that it matters too much. Pretty much anyone else could have filled this role too.

To build up upgrade stones, I use my remaining growth points to level up someone I can easily promote to around lv. 10, then promote them to reset them back to lv. 1. This way I can get more upgrade stones with my finite amount of growth points, making the rest of the duping a little bit more efficient.

If you're fast and lucky, you can defeat the Tier 1 bosses with Boltwave alone. Optimally your speedy character doesn't have to use their own attacks at all. Note: if you spam Boltwave too fast, some of the lightning effects don't seem to materialize.

The second thing you need to break Gauntlet-mode is some Samurai-character and a lot of Thrift. The Thrift-skill reduces all musou costs, so you can make the Samurai-character invulnerable for a fairly long period of time if you have S-rank Thrift.

You may randomly find good Thrift characters in the early levels. If no one appears, you are guaranteed to meet Mitsuhide Akechi and No in the final level of the first tier. Out of these characters, so far I've preferred using No since her Musou-attack keeps enemies completely stunlocked. Her air attack also has a really weird range and can sometimes hit dozens enemies at once.

So, after I get No, I give her maximum speed and a high musou + attack and a lv. 2 weapon (since that's the best you can get on this short notice from the store). I fight random enemies enough to build up her weapon and skill to maximum, then run through the rest of the levels.

Hundun, the final boss, has a lot of health and he can also rally at a random time to refill his health. To make stunlocking and defeating him with a single Musou-attack more reliable, I use growth points to leave No on the verge of gaining a new level before entering Koshi Castle so that she gets a musou refill during the final fight.

I had a good luck during this run and managed to get Zhao Yun to lv. 100 in a record time. Still, I'm sure the time could go even lower with more attempts.
