Was Paradroid for the Commodore 64 under-rated?
Paradroid was released in 1985 for the Commodore 64 by Hewson Consultants. Written by Andrew Braybrook of Graftgold Ltd, this game was one of my favorites for it's bas-relief graphics and smooth scrolling. I remember at the time how I impressed I were by the quality of the graphics and made a mental note to keep my eyes open for anything else that had been programmed by Braybrook. His next offering "Uridium" did not disappoint.
Paradroid was a challenging game but not impossibly difficult. While I never was able to clear all the levels I do recall successfully "upgrading" my droid to a "999" model, only to find that it was just too powerful so would burn out almost immediately.
