Honestly, the Jury-Rigged Boomstick was already in a great spot before Deep Rock Galactic's Update 34. The changes it got improved a couple things that were lacking a little bit. You can truly tailor it to your exact playstyle and how you want to use it in your entire Scout kit. It's a very well balanced weapon in Deep Rock Galactic that's just a little bit better
While Deep Rock Galactic's Update 34 tried to help the Scout's Boomstick, the Shaped Shells overclock probably can't be helped without a complete redesign.
To make it work better, it should increase the mag size to 4. You can even increase the reload as a penalty to better balance the increased mag size. This way you can dump 4 shots from the mag and that base spread bonus will be much more impactful. It'll fit better among the other options as a dps crowd control hybrid.
