Hello every Next Generation bodayyyyy! It's time for another GameCast show, and this time I'm pulling in a good friend & co-worker who came right out of the gaming industry... Randy Nelson! Since Randy has been an editor at many gaming magazines and Internet sites in the past, he makes the perfect co-host.
We're splitting the Watch Dogs GameCast into two episodes since there is SO much to talk about, now that watch dogs has been delayed. :( First, we get acquainted with Randy and his career in gaming, then we delve into next generation consoles in general, and just how much the new boxes will revolutionize gaming over the next few years. We also hit on the history of Ubisoft's huge open world games, and that leads us into Watch Dogs.
We then muse over the official causes of the delay, but then we speculate on the REAL causes of the delay (which are being kept on ice). We start hinting at the general gameplay mechanics and art direction, but we save the nitty gritty until Episode 2. So, stay tuned and hopefully Randy will be able to return to dig into the subject, right down to each alley and hallway in the game!
