This video is my first attempt at design and building a water garden in my yard. This is near the end of the project after I had dug the hole, installed the pond liner and most of the hardscape rocks (I collected literally a ton of them, phew).

Right now I have been filling it with rainwater naturally and from a rainbarrel and will soon top it off once I am happy with the rock edging.

I've jump started the biological process with some local pond water, tadpoles, and some cull Guppies from my aquarium. Looks like this after a week. Already lots of wildlife coming to the pond... Mostly damn mosquitoes! But was really shocked to see this awesome Dragonfly come and looks like lay eggs underneath the Water Hyacinth. Cool!

PLANTS
------------
Water Hyacinth
Water Lettuce
Duckweed
Hardy Water Lilly
Natural Cattails collected from my pond

Wildlife
-----------
Frog tadpoles
Cull Guppies
Mosquito Larvae
Water Beetle
Water Strider

Goldfish coming SOON! With luck I won't get many predatory visitors that will take out the fish like racoons or herons... But I have an attack dog that sleep on the porch so I don't expect it to be a problem. I'll make another vid of the finished project once everything is look neat, water fall is in and the filter has arrived.
