Water goddess drawing (read desc. for explanation)
Important: My commentary function is down again, so I can see your comments, but not reply to them etc. If there are any questions, I might be able to answer them in a future Q and A video. (;w;)
Now for the explanation of the steps:
Picture 1: My digital reference sketch. The light grey parts are for orientation, where I will later put water.
Picture 2: After transferring the digital sketch to paper with the help of a light table, I roll a soft eraser over it so that the pencil lines are as thin as possible.
Picture 3: I paint the water to get a rough overview.
Picture 4: I draw the skin. I add light turquoise colour to the places where it is covered by water. With white gel pen I draw highlights and bubbles.
Picture 5: The hair, the clothes and the gold jewellery now follow the same principle.
Picture 6: Because I am not yet sure what colour the eyes should be, I draw the background first.
Picture 7: After I have decided on the colour of the eyes, the picture is finished!
