About ToD:
Tales of Destiny is an action RPG developed by Telenet Japan's "Wolf Team" and released in Japan in December 1997 for the PlayStation, with an English version following in North America in September 1998. The game's producers gave it the characteristic genre name RPG of Destiny (運命のRPG, Unmei no RPG). Set in a fantasy world, the game follows the story of a young man named Stahn, who comes across a sentient sword named Dymlos and his subsequent encounters with other sword-wielders. The game uses an enhanced version of the Linear Motion Battle System that debuted in the first game of the series, Tales of Phantasia. The character designs for Tales of Destiny were created by Mutsumi Inomata, who joined the series as a newcomer. Inomata's designs have become a staple of the "Tales of" series and have been featured in many subsequent games in the franchise. Her designs for Tales of Destiny were particularly well-received, with many fans praising the unique and memorable look of the game's characters.
