About FF Dissidia:
Dissidia Final Fantasy: A game originally envisioned as a Kingdom Hearts spin-off by Tetsuya Nomura, it eventually became a fighting game featuring Final Fantasy characters. Developed to commemorate the franchise's 20th anniversary, the game's development took three years, with the battle system requiring two years and the RPG mode one. The game's characters were selected based on their rivalry with the heroes rather than being final bosses. Nomura was responsible for the character designs, which deviated from Yoshitaka Amano's illustrations. Square Enix filed for the US trademark registration of 'Dissidia' in April 2007.
