We bring new life to this classic game with NVIDIA RTX HDR AI
Secret Files: Sam Peters is a standalone spin-off in the beloved Secret Files adventure game series. This point-and-click classic is now showcased in stunning 4K HDR with the power of NVIDIA's RTX AI and HDR enhancements, bringing the visuals to a whole new level.
Originally developed by Animation Arts and published by Deep Silver, Secret Files: Sam Peters was released in 2013 as a side story to the main Secret Files series, following journalist Sam Peters after her appearance in Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis. The game takes players deep into Ghana’s jungle, where Sam investigates ancient myths, mysterious creatures, and hidden dangers in a classic puzzle-solving adventure.
The Secret Files series itself is a spiritual successor to Lost Horizon, another highly regarded point-and-click adventure series from the same developers. Lost Horizon (2010) was inspired by the Indiana Jones and classic adventure film era, offering a rich narrative and challenging puzzles. While Secret Files leaned more toward modern-day conspiracies and mysteries, Lost Horizon had a distinct 1930s adventure feel.
For this test, I used NVIDIA App HDR and RTX AI upscaling, enhancing the original textures and lighting effects to breathe new life into this decade-old game. The improvements are especially noticeable in color depth, shadow detail, and texture clarity, making the 4K HDR experience significantly more immersive.
