We must tackle migration with a firm hand, otherwise we will fail like Europe!
113Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni declared: Any attempt to prevent us from taking a serious and determined approach to illegal migration will be rejected.
In her speech, she also rejected the thesis that Europe needs migration to maintain its population and workforce. And she is right – if we can increase the birth rate and improve the work efficiency of individuals, mass migration is not the only solution.
My opinion? Some countries have managed it (e.g. Denmark), others have not – either because of the incompetence of governments or the fear of the opposition. But today there is no room for delay. The problem must be solved firmly. Help each other, for example in the form of a Migration Pact.
