Addressing the gathering after inaugurating GPAI Summit, 2023 Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the positives as well as negative aspects of AI and called for a global framework for its judicious use. PM Modi said that AI can become the biggest tool of development in the 21st century and can also play the biggest role in destroying the 21st century. PM Modi further said that from Deep fakes to challenges of cyber security and data theft can prove catastrophic and that is why, during the G20 Presidency, we have proposed to create a framework for Responsible Human-Centric AI governance.
