8Yes, it's finally here. The moment that Luke has always dreaded. David has finally managed to get hold of a DVD copy of The Apple!
The Middle Aged Movie Boys, along with their musical-loving friend Josh, time travel to the far flung future of the year 1994, where disco rules the world, drugs are everywhere, and facial stickers and forced exercise are compulsory.
This film is from those wacky guys at the Cannon Film Group, who also brought us the likes of Lifeforce, Masters of the Universe, Superman IV, etc. and it is part bizarre cult classic musical, part wonderfully magical disaster ... and it's considered to be perhaps one of the worst films of all time, the guiltiest of all guilty pleasures. There are really no words to describe this, but what the hell, we'll give it a shot anyway!
We'll also take the time to reflect on what really happened in the actual year of 1994, talk about some of the Cannon Film Group's bizarre business practices when making their movies, and try to imagine a world where the winners of the Eurovision song contest actually *do* get to control all of Europe
