We visited the Gelita Corp. last year, in order to learn how they produce the certified ballistic gelatin we use so much here on The Slingshot Channel. Recently, we met again, simply to chat and also because they are only about 10 minutes away from our HQ.
One of the things that are new is the new "Shape Up" product, a protein powder for muscle gain. We were not much impressed at first as there are tons of protein powders already on the market - but a top ranking scientific study, conducted by the Freiburg University Hospital, changed our perception very quickly.
This isn't your run-of-the-mill milk based protein powder. It is made from animal tissue, namely the skin, tendons and other "chewy" tough stuff. The tissue is heavily processed and the final outcome is 100% pure collagen peptide powder.
If that is all true, then this works much, much better than normal protein powder - one spoonful a day, over 12 weeks, brought in more than twice the strength gain compared to working out without ShapeUp! The test persons even lost a tremendous amount of fat - at the same time as they gained plenty of new muscle. And these were older men (average age 72 years).
