Weather Intro
50Quick and crappy explanation of some of Earth's fundamental weather patterns, with an eye towards fantasy worlds. By "quick" I mean from a recording standpoint, the video is actually very long and probably not very intense. There are no explosions, just me droning on.
Oh, my use of "prevailing winds" is not a very good one, since it's horribly vague. Technically, the trade winds are also prevailing winds. The Ferrel cell winds I indicate are the Westerlies, a particular kind of prevailing wind.
Keep in mind that A) the video is not infinitely long, so I can't cover all topics, and B) some of the stuff is pretty seriously oversimplified. For example, I know full well part of the reason for the "lee" is because the wind goes around/is impeded by the land mass.
I don't think this video is particularly good, but I also don't think I can do much better until I get a lot more practice. So here it is. Think of it as practice.
