WedSNESday: Let's Play True Lies (SNES)
This week, it's another Schwarzenegger joint, as Matt & Luke tell a few True Lies, featuring Doom Guy, double-thick Arnold and Gilbert Gottfried wearing Tom Arnold's face. Luke strafes, shoots & tactical rolls his way through the first mission with only minimal civilian casualties - not for want of trying. These "taxpayers" seem awfully unimpressed by the constant hail of gunfire.
True Lies was released in 1994 by LJN on Super Nintendo, developed by Beam Software. It's based on the Arnold Schwarzenegger/Jamie Lee Curtis film, with the player taking on the role of Harry Tasker, taskered with the job of defeating a terrorist plot through casual murder at dinner parties and copious strafing. There were versions also released for the Mega Drive/Genesis, Game Gear and Game Boy, though the portable versions of the game were significantly different from the console.
