So yeah, after helping MIlla beat up her dad and watching him desperately struggle in vain to kill Rowen we are treated to most rapid rise to power I've ever seen. Just a few days ago Gaius was king of Auj Oule, then he effectively crowned himself king of Rieze Maxia in the power vacuum following Nachtigal's death, and then he just waltzes on in and declares himself God after we finish beating up Maxwell. We did all the work, you jerk! But of course his ploy works because, surprise surprise, he brought the Lance with him and uses his newest member of the Chimeriad, Muzet, to strap Maxwell to it because reasons. Oh, and he also Utenas a sword that can slice through time and space out of Muzet's chest. Because this man has no chill.
At least he had the decency to try to banish us back to Rieze Maxia, but then Maxwell is all nope and yeets us off to Elympios instead. Because that's going to help for some reason? Whatever. We're here now. May as well make the most of it.
