Is it really enough to run around in a bullet heaven roguelike game? The devs of When the Light Dies puts on one more layer to the equation - the Darkness.
When the Light Dies really wanted to spice things up by letting the player worry about both light and sanity on top of the fact that wave of monsters tries to kill you!
Does it fly well? Indeed it does! The atmosphere in this game puts 2D characters into a 3D world, reminding me almost of the RPG Octopath Traveller. The gameplay quickly gets you into the right feeling of what works well and what doesn't to progress through the hordes of enemies you are facing.
Had a blast playing it and looking forward to the very next gameplay session I'm gonna have with this game! More content will come on this one!
