There has been a terrible overnight on my part. Yesterday I ran a massive 14.5 hour stream in an attempt to beat TES: Arena's final dungeons. I got close, very close. But at the end of the day (actually, at the beginning of the next day), I found that I needed at least 3 hours of shutass before beginning my workweek. anger emoji That's bad enough, but check this out: YouTube only saved 83.72% of the stream! Good thing it's backed up off of ReStream... Nope! pained emoji They only save up to 6 hours of stream, as per the tier I've faithfully paid for (two years and counting). murder emoji

Luckily I saved upon entering Dagoth-Ur, so tonight we'll be seeing the end of Arena once and for all. It stingks that I've lost some of the Black Gate footage, but let's be honest: Arena's formula is rather... well, formulaic (imho). Dialogue blast/fetch quest/McGuffin grab/and repeat. So I can sum up what's missing with this: I died a lot, had to refer to a map a lot of times, and eventually made it out with the Dwarven Hammer that the royalty in Ebonheart tasked me with retrieving.

Now for Dagoth-Ur, and the final piece of the Spear of Chaos. From what I can tell, the retrieval of that piece isn't all there is for tonight. I think I have to travel to the Imperial Palace and face Tharn mano-a-mano. Should be fun, right?

Welcome to The Elder Scrolls: Arena—Bethesda’s first swing at greatness, and boy, did they miss... but with style. This isn’t just a game—it’s an act of endurance. A dungeon crawler where every hallway is longer than your weekend, and every map feels like it was designed by a vengeful geometry teacher. The UI fights you. The quests hide from you. But the rats? The rats never miss.
We’re not playing for fun—we’re playing to remind the modern world that even the mighty Elder Scrolls started as a barely-functioning fever dream. This is the birthplace of lore so deep it forgot how to surface. Where “open world” meant “hope you brought snacks,” and the main quest is something you find in a forum thread from 2003.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. Let’s overdose.
