WHAM BAM almost BROKE My AnyCubic Photon M3 Max Printer + FIX using a custom Spacer
I usually love Wham Bam products, however it wouldve been nice if there was some mention of requiring a spacer during installation
I bought this kit:
https://www.whambamsystems.com/products/310-x-174-xtr-anycubic-photon-m3-max?variant=39812680581218
Although you would think, that when you loosen the bed, home it, then tighten it, would automatically be enough for the new excess 7mm, its NOT, it needs a spacer
And as you can see from the video, after you install it, the metal plate wont reach the sensor as you are adding around 7mm worth of thickness
In this video I made my spacer at 5mm, however this was around half a year ago, I noticed that even then the motor as it homes still clicks, so im assuming that 5mm spacer is still not as thick as it should be to compensate for the new height
I also noticed that the very bottom of my prints almost have an elephants foot, i didnt think resin printers can have this effect, but turns out it can, so as of this video I reprinted a new one at 6mm thickness
This video is cut from my previous video:
