1Metal Gear Solid 3 is easily the best game in the series thus far. The fact that it's the fan favorite is probably why Konami had chosen to remake this one specifically.
Snake Eater balances cutscenes and gameplay much better than the previous game. It has the balance of MGS1, but with better gameplay and graphics. The jungle setting is the icing on top for me.
What a thrill!
