There are similarities and close relations between them. Here's a few of them.

1) Aerodynamics is crucial to both Formula one cars and Aircraft.
2) Both uses advanced lightweight composite materials.
3) In order to test and analyze prototype models, they both make large use of wind tunnels.
4) Computation Fluid Dynamic was a limited tool and resource for Aircraft companies, but it has now found the use in formula one car design and development.
5) Fighter pilots are subjected to G force, and Formula 1 car drivers are subjected to G force in high-speed tight turn racing circuits.
