In this scenario, forcing Shulk (or anybody, really) can bring about interesting results! I hacked the shop previously and obtained clothing from guests characters such as Alvis who normally wears a Seacle set of clothing. Shulk however, does not normally equip Alvis' clothing and doing so confuses the game because Shulk and Alvis are of different models. Thus, the Seacle set is not programmed specifically for Shulk. Because of this confusion, the game cannot load Shulk's model with the clothing, which makes part or all of him invisible.
