What If Call Of Duty Got Rid Of Its Season Pass?
74Call Of Duty:WW2 a game that is currently scarce for variety both in maps and gameplay creativity. With DLC 1 just 3 weeks away for the PS4 everyone seems to have high hopes for this DLC. With 3 new multiplayer maps & 1 brand new war map many are hoping this would bring some fresh life into the game. But this is only for those that have purchased the season pass. Call Of Duty is one of the few games that are heavily focused around multiplayer and still sell a season pass locking those who have not purchased it out on experiencing the new content and hence splintering the community.
Many other massive multiplayer shooters like Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Rainbow Six Siege, & Titanfall 2 giveaway the dlc for free to avoid separating the community and risking their game see player numbers drop. Call of Duty on the other hand continues to stubbornly sell their DLC at $14.99 a piece and if WW2 continues the trend of not delivering enough content in each DLC Activision may see the end of booming DLC sales.
